Our First Annual
SketchCrawl
July 31, 2010
 
 
 
Art Youngstown will be hosting the first annual "SketchCrawl" in Youngstown.
This is open to all area artists.
You will meet at The Lemon Grove Cafe, July 31 to sign in at 12:00 noon, then you will walk the downtown area or Mill Creek, or anywhere you choose to do your sketching at. Then meet back at the Lemon Grove Cafe for a comfortable place to unwind and Share your sketchs, around 3:00 pm.

This is a twofold fundraiser for " The Purple Cat" and Art Youngstown, INC, 25% of the monies will be donated so they can purchase art supplies for "The Purple Cat".

You will be sent a form so you can record your monies raised.

All you will need to bring is your sketchbook, pencil or watercolors, and entry form.

 "Three Letters Youngstown Project"

Art Youngstown with Youngstown State University proudly presents the "Three Letters Youngstown Project".
Area artists will create banners incorporated with the letters Y, S, and U on one side of various size banners to be displayed during Youngstown State University's "Summer Festival of the Arts".
On the other side of the banner the artists will be ask to depict Youngstown in their own concept using red, black and white.
Three letters Youngstown project will kick off July 9th, 2010. Artists will have the opportunity to hang their banners the day before the opening of Summer Festival of the Arts.
The Project will be on display from Saturday, July 10th at 10:00 a.m. to July 11th at 6 P.M. After the festival the banners will be donated to 1226 Wick Avenue for permanent display.

Artists (16 years or older) interested in the banner project need to RSVP by email to:

Pre-registration is suggested:
With your name, your address, your telephone and your email. (If you are under 18 please get your parents permission.)

Art Youngstown will supply banners. Artists will need to purchase their own red, white and black outdoor paints for the banners (outdoor Latex is suggested).
All items must be painted on both sides. All artists will need to sign a contract at drop-off or before.
